La questione del progetto politico europeo e dell'allargamento sono temi ormai da tempo immemorabile al centro dell'iniziativa politica dei Radicali, che dal 2004 portano avanti una campagna per l'ingresso a pieno titolo della Turchia nell'Unione Europea.
La leader Radicale Emma Bonino, Vicepresidente del Senato e componente della Commissione Indipendente sulla Turchia presieduta dall'ex presidente finlandese e premio Nobel Martti Ahtisaari, sarà in Tuchia da venerdì 4 marzo per partecipare alla ventesima edizione dell'Aspen European Dialogue dedicata al tema dell'Europa oltre l'UE: la geoeconomia del continente allargato, organizzata da Aspen Institute in collaborazione con Sabanci University, TUSIAD-Koc University Economic Research Forum e con il Ministero degli Affari esteri italiano.
